The Cedar Gate Story

Our Vision

We believe that value-based care is revolutionizing the way healthcare is delivered and paid for in the United States, and our mission is to use the power of our technology platform to lead its transformation.

Our Mission

We strive to be the most trusted and comprehensive technology platform to enable the healthcare industry’s success in value-based care.

Our History

Prior to founding Cedar Gate Technologies, Chairman & CEO Dave Snow already had decades of experience leading change and improving care delivery in healthcare organizations. But he knew his work wasn’t done.

OfficeIn 2014 he saw the dramatic changes occurring in healthcare technology, and the promise that the right tools could help organizations achieve success in a risk-based future. The healthcare IT landscape at the time was already fragmented, with hundreds of vendors offering solutions to help with one piece of the value-based care (VBC) journey. Knowing the challenges of managing multiple vendors and solutions from his own experience, Dave envisioned a platform that provided end-to-end functionality with a single source of truth to house and manage the vast volume of data available to healthcare organizations today.

He partnered with GTCR and launched Cedar Gate Technologies. The team got to work developing software designed specifically for the needs of value-based care organizations. In 2016 they launched a value-based care analytics tool (Isaac), integrated with a comprehensive enterprise data management platform. But they knew this was only the first step.

In the coming years, Cedar Gate identified key tools payers, providers, and self-funded employers would need to participate in risk-based contracts and programs. In addition to data management and analytics (which they already had), that list included population health and payment technology. Rather than spend years developing these additional technologies, leadership decided to look at the current market and find companies already offering best-in-class solutions. That led to the acquisition of Global Healthcare Alliance in 2018, then Citra Health Solutions, Deerwalk, and Enli Health Intelligence in 2020.

Along the way, Cedar Gate also welcomed new investment from Ascension Ventures and Cobalt Ventures to continue building on the vision of a single platform to enable VBC success.

The company grew from 38 employees in 2018 to almost 1,000 employees today – including close to 300 U.S.-based employees, and nearly 700 employees in Nepal.

Today we provide the most comprehensive value-based care software platform to a large and growing base of clients in the payer, provider, and self-funded employer markets.
